About Us
The Directory of Youth Justice Services in
Ontario is a service of Findhelp Information Services (Findhelp),
funded by the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional
Services. It is a project of 211Ontario.ca.
211 is an easy-to-remember source of information
on human services. It is the 'first stop' for information
on education, job skills, housing, child care, health services
and more. The service is for everyone from individuals, families
and professionals to community agencies and people facing
barriers due to poverty or personal difficulty. 211 is a
multi-channel service, offering access to information through
an easy to remember 211 telephone number and an online database.
The 211 telephone service is currently only
available in the 416/647 area codes. Initiatives are currently
underway to bring the 211 telephone service to all Ontario.
In the mean time, the database of community, social, health
and government services that will be used by Information
and Referral Specialists for the 211 telephone service across
Ontario is available for specialized projects. These projects,
which include the Directory of Youth Justice Services in
Ontario, fall under the banner of 211Ontario.ca.
The 211Ontario.ca project consolidates the
many existing local sources of Ontario human services data
into a single, standardized provincial database. Our aim
is to have one central, online repository of data that can
be tapped into by e-services spearheaded by the Government
of Ontario, community, and private sector initiatives, as
well as 211 service providers across the province.

and our approach, contact info@211Ontario.ca.
Findhelp is a nonprofit community organization,
funded by the United Way of Greater Toronto and the City
of Toronto. Findhelp operates the first 211 telephone service
in Canada - a free, confidential, multilingual information
line that connects callers to community, social, health and
government services in Toronto, 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week. The service also has a companion web site at 211Toronto.ca.
