- Updating Information
Please notify Findhelp Information Services about any new
or upcoming changes to the organizations and services contained
in the Access to Professions and Trades in Ontario (APTO)
web site.You may update information by using either the online
Update Information form (see instructions below) or by calling
Findhelp Information Services's Update Desk at 416-392-4567
during regular office hours.
We also encourage you to submit any information about organizations
or programs not currently listed in the APTO web site. If
you think an organization should be included in the APTO
web site, please read our Inclusion
Policy to see if it might be eligible. To submit your
information, go to Help - Ask us a
Question and select "Need help updating information
or want to tell us about an organization that is missing." Use
the form to send us basic information about the organization.
We will review your suggestion and contact you promptly.
How to use the
Update Information form
1. Click on "Update Information" at the top of
the record that needs to be updated.
2. Update any piece of information contained in the record.
Click on the labels beside each section of information (example: Eligibility)
to see a definition of the type of information contained
in this section. To read all definitions, go directly to
the Glossary.
If you make several mistakes and want to start over again,
click the "Restore information" button at the bottom
of the page. Your changes will be erased and the original
profile will appear.
3. Click the "Confirm Changes" button. You will
then be prompted to review the changes you have made. After
you have reviewed and submitted your changes, the notice "Update
Received" should appear.
To make any further revisions, click the "Make more
changes" button to return to the Update Information
form.
4. Click the "Send update" button. The notice "Update
Received" should appear.
Please note: Your changes will not appear
immediately on the APTO web site. Approved changes are made
once a week.
Findhelp Information Services reserves the right to verify
each change with the service provider. Your changes may be
edited for content, grammar, spelling and style according
to the Findhelp Information Services Style Guide.
